Hi, I cannot see the Console properly on the Desktop app. Only a small section of the console is visible so you can input text but not see the result. This means I cannot see the results of battery check/storage etc. I think I need to recalibrate my MultispeQ (v1) as it takes ~2min to do a measurement on the standard protocol, but I can't do this as the Console will not open properly. My MultispeQ also will not charge - even after leaving on charge overnight it is still at 0% charge, but will take measurements if plugged into my laptop.

Any help on these problems much appreciated! Thanks, Fay

Hi Fay,

sorry for the trouble. We are adding this problem to the list of fixes for the next release. In the meantime, you can do the following to fix the issue.

  1. Close the PhotosynQ Desktop app if it is running
  2. Open the Windows Explorer
  3. Open the following directory: C:\%APPDATA%\PhotosynQ
  4. Open the file window-state-console.json with notepad or any other text editor.
  5. Find the number next to height: and replace it with 440.
  6. Save the changes, close the file and then open the PhotosynQ Desktop app again.

Now your console window should have the correct size.

Regarding the charging, are you using a charger and if so, how many mA is it supplying? A laptop might not be able to supply enough current, to run and charge the MultispeQ.

Hi Sebastian, Thanks I have now solved the console issue. I also tried to recalibrate the MultispeQ by setting the open and closed positions. However, the instrument will no longer take proper measurements. When I try to take measurements I get this result:

The MultispeQ will not take Relative Chlorophyll or other measurements even thought I am running the standard protocol. Do you have any advice on how to solve this issue? Thanks, Fay

Hi Fay,

to know exactly what is going on, please provide me some additional information. Otherwise I will not be able to help you. When you connect your instrument with the desktop application, can you tell me what firmware version is installed? Also when you are opening the console, please type in the command print_memory. Please send all that information to support@photosynq.org. They will be able to help you when it comes to recalibration. Looking at your measurement, it seems like there is almost no signal, which makes me wonder, if you were able to charge the MultispeQ up. The low signal would also explain, why you are not able to measure relative Chlorophyll (SPAD).
