Hi ,

I collect my data and often upload when I have internet and I'm back in the office. Twice now, on an android device, I have lost data when the app "is not responding" and immediately crashes before I can click on upload all. Is there a way to access this data on some sort of cache or is it completely gone? What can I do to stop this?

Thank you, Susan

Hi Susan,

I'm sorry to hear that you ran into issues uploading your data. Please write an email to support@photosynq.org to get help on the issue and see if there is data still on the phone that can be uploaded to your project.

Hello Sebastian,

I have been having the same issue with my app. There is anything I can do to upload my data without having to do it myself one by one measurement.

Thank you.

Lina

Hi Lina,

we are working on fixing the issue in the Android app. Please write an email to support@photosynq.org so we can give you directions on how to get the data off your phone. You can send us the files and we will upload them for you. I assume this post you referring to the same problem?

Hi Lina, Susan, et al.

we identified the issue with the application and we updated the app. Please check out the latest version in the Google Play Store. After the update is installed, you should be able to upload the measurements.

With the previous version of the application:

  1. Make sure you connect your Instrument via Bluetooth with your phone.
  2. Then you upload the measurements from your phone.

Some devices loose the Instrument information required for the upload, so connecting an Instrument fixes the issue.

Please let us know if it works for you!

Hi Sebastian

Thank you a lot for help us with this issue! However, I updated the app as soon as I see this message and tried again to upload the data, but again this was impossible for me. The app crashed when I tried clicking on the "upload all" button and one by one. It's weird because I took this data during a whole week, but only a part of the measurements didn't upload. In a previous message, you told me that it is a form to get the data off of my phone, can you explain me this please? or do I have to write to the support team?

Hi Lina,

have you tried to connect an instrument before you upload the data? If the issue persists, please email to support@photosynq.org.
